WoW

Today's post comes from the Light side:

Been a long time since I updated this site. I figured I would let everyone know I am still alive and kicking... relatively.

I could rant about my previous employer and some of the ordeals I've gone through recently with them but I don't really want to got here. Suffice it to say that I am no longer employed there and that's not a bad thing.

On to the goodness: I have finished our Guild website for World of Warcraft for the Knights of Deathwing on Deathwing server.

Also, my compilation of addons has reached over 1000 downloads. Not huge in the grand scheme of things, but I'm proud of my small accomplishment. My compilation can be viewed and downloaded from Curse's website at http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=3009

Fuck you ICBC!

Today's post comes from the Dark side:

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. Fuck you. What a goddam joke.

I get sideswiped by a truck, and the guy takes off. That's a Hit & Run. Criminal offense. I have to pay $300 or more to get my vehicle fixed though. So what is the point of having insurance? I have to pay regardless. If I didn't have insurance, I would be in the same boat, but saving almost a thousand bucks a year. I don't think I will be renewing my insurance anymore. Next person who fucks with my car is going to be hospitalized. I have to deal with it mysewlf since ICBC and the police won't.

We are supposed to live in a "free country", where we have the right to make choices. Not this one. We MUST register insurance through ICBC alone. We MUST pay for universal healthcare, though you must still pay for everything there as well. We have one phone company. We have one cable company. Where is the choice? Free? Like hell it's free.

Quote from their site:
All motorists in BC are required to buy a basic package of ICBC Autoplan insurance that provides coverage for third party legal liability protection, accident benefits, underinsured motorist protection, hit-and-run and uninsured motorists protection and inverse liability.

What a joke...

2006...6...6

2006...6...6

Today's post comes from the Dark side:

Just had to rant and get this off my chest. I was so hoping that this would would be better than the last. One can only handle so much agony. Guess it was wishful thinking.

I find my patience is rapidly evaporating... and I am a very patient man. No longer. Being "nice" and holding to my very few morals has not proven fruitful. The bigger asshole you are, the better people treat you and the farther you get in life. Obeying the law doesn't help either. You can hit & run, and not worry about it. Why even pay for car insurance? Bah!

My New Year's Wish is to slip into a coma... maybe things will be better when I wake up? Doubtful.

Happy Birthday?

Today's post comes from the Light side:

Today is my ex's birthday. I have the kids so I assume she is having a happy one. I was thinking of getting her a nice present but I am second guessing that idea. Chances are good that it would only be hours or days before I regretted it. I have till I get paid to decide, but I guess it doesn't matter anyways. What do you think?

Xmas Eve

Xmas Eve

Today's post comes from the Light side:

This vid caused me some grief. I had trouble rendering it for some reason and then of course Ourmedia still doesn't list my video as being there.

Anyhow, just a li'l clip of my Xmas Eve. Basically, I got drunk at a friend's party on Friday. Then I got drunk on Saturday. When I picked up the kids, the ex and I actually got along. I even got a hug; a surprisingly pleasant gift. Xmas Day was decent enough. Both my kids got spoiled and were well fed and happy, so that's all that really matters.
